About Us
What is Polkadot Hands?
We are a faith based non profit organization dedicated to providing emotional and spiritual support to children with alopecia and their parents.
Who is behind Polkadot Hands?
Polkadot Hands was founded by Koko and Letty Twine, a mother and daughter team. Koko was diagnosed with alopecia areata at age 5 the disease progressed to alopecia universalis within 6 months of her diagnosis. As believers of Christ their faith is what has helped them navigate through the different phases and uncertainty of the disease. It is their faith that has given them the strength, wisdom and peace of God as they journey into remission.
Koko's Book
"Koko, where your curls at?" written by Koko and Letty Twine, is about Koko's initial discovery of alopecia and how she found joy again with the help of a new friend. It is available on paperback or kindle on Amazon.
